The infinity net is one of Kusma's early forms of obliteration art, which she not only used as a form of expression, but also as a form of self medication for her psychosis. Kusma says she enters a dissociative state when she paints and fills the canvas with the same shape repeatedly, sometimes extending the borders of her work to surrounding walls, windows, etc,, or even to her own body.
