Hi, I’m Shiri, Your Resident Space Donut.

… a Jewish, pansexual gore spirit, a synesthesia artist, writer of “cactus garbage,” and end-of-life animal companion doula focused on legacy work.

I’ve been a book reviewer since 2016. My own stories have been published in several anthologies, including: MY SAY IN THE MATTER, UNLOCKING THE MAGIC, and WOMEN IN HORROR ANNUAL 2016. My non-fiction has appeared in THE EXPANSE AND PHILOSOPHY, and THE JOURNAL OF FANTASY STUDIES (issue 10).

My paintings have been auctioned of to benefit Assemble as part of their group 6x6 event and included in a group show at Happenstance Cafe. You can find them on this site at the link in that upper right hand corner.

In my role as an Animal Companion End-of-Life doula, I teach several workshops on preparing for your animal companion’s end of life and on helping you craft their legacy when you’re ready to do so. These workshops are free through the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. I can hold them privately for individuals and small groups on a sliding scale.

In my spare time, I fence with my older kiddo who I feel very lucky still wants to spend time with me (, craft with the younger one, stress bake, read stuff that isn’t on my ARC list, take piano lessons, herd actual cats, sketch, and convince myself I don’t need that pen. I am also an amateur frog.

My Approach

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.

Simple ideas

Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.

Lasting impact

We build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious.
