Fridice Khreamlo: Portrait of the Artists (Inspired by 1940 Portrait of Frida) Space Donut
There are innumerable portraits of Frida Kahlo, taken by a myriad individuals. This piece is based on one of my favorites. It was taken in 1940 and belongs to her niece’s archive. It did go a little wild on me but if you’ve seen any of Frida’s self-portraits, I feel like you’d agree she would approve.
Golden Paints acrylics, Uniball Gel Pen, decorative paper, beads, repurposed jewelry charms, upcycled earrings on Legion Stonehenge 10×14 cold press black paper.
