Nocturne in E-Flat Major
I had the absolute honor of hearing Lang Lang play this piece live earlier this year and when I say the experience will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life, I mean it 100% literally. I’ve been taking piano lessons (after a 35 year hiatus) for about two years but I think this night was when I really fell in love the instrument again. The joy with which Lang Lang gives music out into the world bubbles and floats which, as I’m sure you’ve divined, was the inspiration for this piece.
I believe everyone should be able to own some art but not everyone has the space, or the funds, for larger pieces. I’m working on making smaller, magnetic versions of my pieces - still originals! Space restrictions means I have to be even more creative and even paintings/collages made on the same brainwaves naturally do their own thing - so I have art at every price point and so that, if you don’t have wall space, you can stick ‘em to your fridge (unless you have one of those fancy new ones) or anything else with polarity.
Amsterdam Acrylics paint an ink, Golden Paints high flow acrylic paint. Plastic studs, hand dried flowers, glitter. On an upcycled hexagonal tile with 2” sides. Magnet is rated up to 8.8 oz.
