Nocturne in E-Flat Major (Chopin, 1830-1832)
I had the absolute honor of hearing Lang Lang play this piece live earlier this year and when I say the experience will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life, I mean it 100% literally. I’ve been taking piano lessons (after a 35 year hiatus) for about two years but I think this night was when I really fell in love the instrument again. The joy with which Lang Lang gives music out into the world bubbles and floats which, as I’m sure you’ve divined, was the inspiration for this piece.
Amsterdam Acrylics paint an ink, Golden Paints high flow acrylic paint. Plastic studs, hand dried flowers, glitter. On an upcycled jam jar. Jar is 3” tall and has a 2” diameter. (Flowers included if desired)
