An excellent variety in reviews this week: from Nick Medina’s upcoming and terrifying The Whistler to Edward Ashton’s darkly hilarious sci-fi jaunt, Mickey 7, on over to the first two volumes of Meng Xi Shi’s gloriously bitchy spy vs. spy historical danmei Peerless.

Medusa is gloriously in fashion. Harley romances and gets romanced. And no one knows what Dazai is doing (as usual) but (as usual) Akutagawa is pissed about it.

Catching up with my end of September and first half of October reads, some chilling and thrilling, others just plain wonderful. Also, get a sneak peek at my next writing project. IF YOU DARE. Which you probably do, it’s not that terrifying. Yet.

Not long Covid nor migraine nor olanzepine was going to keep me from finishing these amazing books…
